The BIG Reveal!!!!

I can't believe it is finally time to share the news about what I have been putting together for a couple weeks now! I am so EXCITED about this, you guys!!! ^_^

This is so HUGE for us!

If you are familiar with my story, you know that my heart is all about serving and blessing others. In fact, for those of you who know what the 5 Love Languages are, my number 1 is acts of service. (If you don't go check it out here: http://www.5lovelanguages.com/ I would love to hear your results!)

I love nothing more than being able to bless someone by helping them. That is probably why I fell in love with being a Health & Fitness Coach! Being able to encourage other people to dream BIG, reach for their goals, and help them find the tools they need to achieve success, is one of the MOST rewarding things I have ever done! (Apart from raising my children.) ;)

Early this year, I stepped WAY outside of my comfort zone and got certified to be a Fitness Instructor because I LOVED the program I was doing and I believe it is something that people need! It is something that helps people grow stronger physically, push past mental walls, feel better than they have before and live healthier lives. ^_^

You guys, obesity in America has become an incredibly serious problem. Over one third of the adult population is obese. Think about that for a minute. That number alone is staggering. Obesity leads not only to emotional suffering, but serious physical health problems like diabetes, heart attack, certain types of cancer and preventable deaths. It is a heart breaking trend that is devastating the lives of so many Americans. It is a trend that is being passed on to our children with 17% of all children being obese. That is roughly 12.7 MILLION children facing the future health risks associated with obesity. ( http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/childhood.html )

This is something we need to take seriously and something we need to fight. So much of the health related suffering that is a result of obesity can be prevented with proper training, education and access to the tools necessary to live healthy lives.

Studies show that people with lower incomes are more likely to suffer from obesity. ( http://www.cdc.gov/obesity/data/adult.html )

So, are you looking at the title of this post and wondering "When is she going to get to the point?"

Well... HERE IT IS!

My husband and I have combined our love for helping others with our passion for improving health and fitness and started a GO FUND ME account.

Our goal is to raise enough money to be able to be able to partner with various local organizations and offer a variety of FREE Fitness Classes to single parents and low income families that would not otherwise have access to them.

We believe that the knowledge, information and tools to live the healthiest life possible should be available and accessible to EVERYONE regardless of their economic status!

We would deeply appreciate your support in this exciting new endeavor. If you believe in what we are doing please head over to our page: http://www.gofundme.com/GivingBackHealth

Not everyone has the time or calling to be a Fitness Instructor or Health Coach, but each one of us can make a difference in the lives of others! You can help us change lives, set new, healthier standards, show children that there is a better way and give people hope where they had none.

If you are unable to donate at this time we completely understand! Please consider sharing the link to our Go Fund Me page, your support and simply sharing what we are doing gets the word out and may inspire others to help as well.

As always, we are deeply and eternally thankful for all your support, encouragement and help! We would not be where we are without you!

Our gratitude, love and blessings to you and yours... <3

Losing isn't Everything When There is so Much to Gain

I can't believe it is finally time to share the news Yay!!! I am down several more inches and another couple pounds, but that is not the best part...

The best part is how I'm feeling! So much has changed about me physically, mentally, emotionally...

I FEEL so much better! I was so tired before and the worst part was that I had become so accustomed to it that I didn't even notice. Tired was "normal". It wasn't until I started eating healthy and working out that I felt energized again!

I sleep so much better than I did before. I would wake up all the time and now I sleep through the night. I feel rested and ready to go first thing in the morning and I have the energy I need to do a second workout in the evening.

I feel better about myself. I'm gonna be honest for a second... When I wasn't working out, I was "squishy". My kids said I was "built for comfort". If I jumped, parts jiggled that should not jiggle. hahaha My body is becoming toned, there is definition beginning to show, I don't jiggle as much! :D

Things that would weigh on my mind don't bother me as much. It is easier to "roll with the punches" now than it was when I was unhealthy.

The biggest change though, would be eating. I NEVER drank water. Seriously. I lived on soda and an occasional glass of juice that probably didn't contain much actual juice. I ate fried food like it was going out of style. I was blessed in that my blood work was fine, but I was far from healthy. Now, after eating healthy for months, having soda and fried food makes me feel sick. I feel nauseated when I have it. The other day I told my husband, I have no idea how we used to feel okay eating like that! It's crazy!

At any rate, choosing to live a healthy lifestyle isn't just about looking good in a swim suit, although that is one of my goals, it is about improving every area of your LIFE.

The question is... are you ready to make that change?
